The Senate Health and Human Services Committee advanced a measure that would ban the state, as well as local governmental entities and school districts from requiring vaccine passports, according to the committee’s chair, Senator Michele Brooks (R-50).

Citing overwhelming individual privacy concerns and government intrusion, Senators Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-28), Michele Brooks (R-50) and Judy Ward (R-30) introduced legislation that would ban the state, county, municipality or school district from requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

The Senate today approved a bill sponsored by Senator Judy Ward (R-30) that sets commonsense safety standards for barns and other agricultural buildings that are repurposed for weddings and other social events.
