HARRISBURG – The Northern Blair Country Recreation Commission (NRBC) received a $150,000 grant today to update one of its facilities in Antis Township, said Sen. Judy Ward (R-30) and Rep. Jim Gregory (R-80).
“NCBRC is committed to promoting healthy recreation opportunities for area youth, and I am pleased that this funding will support that mission,” said Ward. “These physical improvements to the existing NBCRC facility located in Antis Township will benefit local school districts and communities in the region.”
The NRBC will use the funds to build a new concession stand and restroom facility at a recreation facility along East Pleasant Valley Boulevard that is frequented by the commission’s expanding youth soccer program and visitors along the Ray Amato Trail.
“I’m always grateful for the opportunity to team up with Sen. Ward on helping communities like Antis Township extend recreation offerings to their residents,” Gregory said.
The Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development, oversees state investment in projects that support and enhance Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
