
HARRISBURG – Sen. Judy Ward (R-30), announced multiple projects in Fulton, Huntingdon and Juniata counties were awarded $2.1 million in funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF).
“Our local government partners maintain more roadways than PennDOT,” Ward said. “I appreciate the award of more than $2 million to improve critical infrastructure in rural Pennsylvania.”
The following PennDOT MTF projects were approved:
Fulton County
- Licking Creek Township: $93,800 to improve sight distance at the intersection of Reunion Ground Road and Patterson Run Road.
- Union Township: $256,423 for repaving and structural improvements to Schultz Road and Lehman Road.
Huntingdon County
- Shirley Township: $127,600 to pave six alleys in the village of Allenport.
Juniata County
- Delaware Township: $1.6 million to reconstruct Black Dog Road.
The PennDOT MTF was established under Act 89 of 2013 and provides funding for priority projects in any mode to maintain a safe, reliable transportation system.
