Ward, Irvin Announce Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant for Huntingdon County

HARRISBURG – Sen. Judy Ward (R-30) and Rep. Rich Irvin (R-81) announced the approval of a Multimodal Transportation Fund grant for vital infrastructure improvements in Huntingdon County.

Hopewell Township was awarded $228,159 to complete road improvements along Lower Ridge Road, enhancing road conditions and safety for residents and travelers in Huntingdon County.

“I am pleased to see this investment in our community’s infrastructure,” said Ward. “By improving road safety and connectivity, we are not only enhancing the quality of life for residents but also supporting economic growth and opportunity in the region.”

“This funding is important to our local community,” said Irvin. “This roadway is vital for the many local and out-of-town visitors coming to Lake Raystown, which is a huge economic generator for the region.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund is designed to support projects that encourage economic development and ensure safe, reliable transportation systems across Pennsylvania.

The grant was awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority through its Multimodal Transportation Fund, which supports projects that ensure a safe and reliable system of transportation for Pennsylvania residents.
