HARRISBURG – Sen. Judy Ward (R-30) today announced nearly $250,000 in state grant funding has been awarded for community park upgrades in Antis Township, Blair County.
“I’m pleased to hear of Bellwood-Antis Community Park’s much-deserved grant award,” Ward said. “This funding will help to provide safe and accessible playground and park equipment to make for a more pleasant experience for park visitors and the community.”
Antis Township has been awarded a nearly $250,000 grant to make upgrades at the Bellwood-Antis Community Park. The funding will pay for new park amenities, including tables, playground equipment, waste and recycling containers, pet waste stations and benches.
The grant is being awarded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority from the Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program at the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. This program supports projects which involve development, rehabilitation and improvements to public parks, recreation areas, greenways, trails and river conservation.
