Senator Ward Appointed to Five Additional Senate Committees

HARRISBURG – In addition to serving as Chair of the Senate Intergovernmental Operations Committee, Senator Judy Ward (R-30) will serve on five other Senate committees during the 2019-20 Legislative Session.

Ward was appointed today to serve as Vice Chair of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, and as a member of the following committees: Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, Law and Justice and State Government.

Ward said that the committee appointments will help her address the needs of her constituents.

“The work done by committees is the foundation of the legislative process. These panels will cover some of the most important public policy decisions that our state is facing today, including health care issues, welfare reform, liquor privatization and protecting family farms,” Ward said. “I look forward to using my seat on these committees to move our regional priorities forward and make sure the voice of our local communities is heard in Harrisburg.”
